I’m being threatened by an attny’s office to have my wages garnished due to a default judgment against me; are there guidelines/restrictions and how long could that process be? How can I prevent it from happening…is settling still an option for me??

I have posted a link in the source box so you can look up your State and see what the garnishment laws are.

Once a judgment is received it’s very hard to settle because they have already won their case.
