Can filing bankruptcy stop a wage garnishment in Virginia?
Question by Plea_of_insanity: Can filing bankruptcy quit a wage garnishment in Virginia?
The wage garnishment is for an unpaid debt (car loan).

It depends on what they are garnishing your wages for. Some debts, such as child support, will not be wiped clean in bankruptcy. If your wages are becoming garnished for child support the answer is no.
Can you add much more details about what debt your wages are garnished for?
