Question by Crystal: IRS Wage Garnishment – How Do I Appeal?
My wages are being garnished because of tax debt. How do I appeal to have it lifted so I can get into a payment plan with them? Am I able to do this on my own? What forms will I need?

Well the IRS already gave you ample opportunity to get into a payment plan, so keep that in mind when you are negotiating with the IRS. At this point, since they are collecting money from you, it will be hard for you on your own to get the wage levy lifted. But it’s not impossible. You need to find a professional to help you get the levy lifted and then put you in an affordable payment agreement with the IRS to avoid further collections.
